Fred's Story

I left Willowick in 1956 and joined the Navy along with the Stevens brothers and Dick Borsh. I became a firecontrol technician. Achieving first Chief petty Officer and later Electronic Warrant Officer. I served aboard DE680, DD693, AD24 and EAG 154. Ended up in Polaris weapons. Went back to school and got my degree in Engineering. Went on to eventually get my PhD. I was an actual rocket scientist at Cape Kennedy... Who would have thought it! Work...Expand for more
ed on the Apollo program as lead engineer on the Lunar Landing Module. I am retired and live in Columbia SC with my Wife Gail and 2 dogs. We have four children, 8 grand children and 4 great grand children.I spend most of my time doing occasional consulting jobs in nifty places of the world and as the state director for Navy Marine Corp MARS.
